WHO WE ARE
The Highland Lake Leadership Team (HLLT) is a partnership between the Town of Windham, Town of Falmouth, the Highland Lake Association, as well as other stakeholders. The team was created to improve the overall health of Highland Lake. Recently, the increased activity of HLLT is due to the bacteria bloom Highland Lake is experiencing as well as overall degraded water quality.
LEADERSHIP TEAM
The purpose of the Highland Lake Leadership Team ("the team") shall be for all stakeholders to work together to improve and maintain the water quality of Highland Lake for the benefit of the residents, the Towns and future generations.
EDUCATION & OUTREACH COMMITTEE
The education & outreach committee works to coordinate communications with the general public regarding water quality issues, and to build an actively-engaged community.
ORDINANCE COMMITTEE
The ordinance committee works to review existing zoning and ordinances in the two towns for effectiveness in protecting the lake, modify as appropriate and research lake protections utilized by other towns for consideration in Windham and Falmouth.
WATERSHED MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.
The watershed committee works to organize, coordinate and implement the May 19th, 2018 Highland Lake Watershed Survey.
